Bots are presuppositional and the basis for all possible ontological thought.
Hegelian Husband is a Twitter bot inspired by the story posted on the r/relationships subreddit about an academic couple who came into conflict over the husband’s dogmatic adherence to Hegel‘s philosophy and German Idealism. This impacted his understanding of modern physics, causing frustration to the physicist he was married to.
The story may be a hoax, but the physicist’s description of her disputes with him report an extreme claim:
he just gets angry with me and explains that Hegel’s system is presuppositional and the basis for all possible rational thought so there is no need at all to read other texts in the first place (I have no idea what this means).
This bot posts new claims in the same format, praising different authors, artists, musicians, works, etc. as the basis of some kind of thought and disparaging others in the same category.
