AboveTustin ADSB bot

Tracking planes flying over Tustin, California.

AboveTustin ADSB bot is a Twitter bot created by Kevin Brandon running on a Raspberry Pi located in Tustin, California. It uses the Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) technology to detect when an aircraft flies above it and tweets. You can learn more about the bot from the bot’s code repository on GitHub.

The bot appears to be no longer active, but there are several clones of the bot, including @AboveLongIsland and @OverPutney, some of which are still tweeting.
